WMS Legends

I assume you want to get a legend graphic. If so, you can use the 
GETLEGENDGRAPHIC request to retrieve legend graphics from servers that 
support it. Support for that request is optional so you should check the 
capabilities document of the server you are accessing to see if you can 
use it. You can find information on this in the WMS spec from the OGC 
website at: http://www.opengeospatial.org/specs/.
