Error in installation and to mapserver 4.8.3

Eduardo,
Have you compiled MapServer once before?  How did you install GD - was it using an RPM package or was it already part of your operating system?  I suspect that you may have installed it using a gd rpm file, in that case you need to also install the gd-devel rpm.  This will provide the necessary files for compiling GD support into MapServer.
