Detail displey when zoom in

Hi,
 
First things that come to my mind are:
- setting layers with MINSCALE/MAXSCALE so that the layer is switched to more detailed one when you have zoomed in on a map to a certain level
- playing with the symbols, labels and scales, at least you can use LABELMAXSCALE/LABELMINSCALE at layer level and MINSCALE/MAXSCALE at class level; by creating classes with EXPRESSION together with MINSCALE/MAXSCALE you can select just some features from a single layer and control how they are drawn at different zoom levels
- I have seen quite a bit of discussion in this user group about fine tuning the labels and symbols so they appear nice and neat at any zoom level

I intend to do something like Google Local where when user zoom in, he can see same area but more details. How can I achieve this in Mapserver?
