I was cleaning up my mapserver-users archive a bit and thought that some 
of you might be interested in the following stats, the number of posts 
to this list per year:

  2000: 1537
  2001: 3244
  2002: 6193
  2003: 8724
  2004: 9555
  2005: 9998
