raster maps and mapserver

Yes it is possible to set up direct grass raster support in mapserver.

Grass support is obtained through GDAL so if gdal supports grass, then
mapserver will too. You might be able to find an rpm for the
gdal-grass plugin.

If you type "gdalinfo --formats" and you see GRASS, you'll know its
working. You can access the rasters in mapserver by setting your DATA
parameter to "/location/mapset/cellhd/rastername"
