Custom Grid

Hi All,

 

I'm looking to create a map with a custom grid.  I've got a shapefile
that defines the lines for the custom grid.  ArcGIS allows me to define
that shapefile as my custom grid, and then it labels the edges
accordingly.  I've attached an example image of what I'm trying to do.
Can I do this via mapscript?
