I don't think I have tried the query support in the way you are using it.
If you can submit this as a bug report in MapServer bugzilla, and assign it
to me, I'll try and reproduce your problem and track through to see what is
happening.

Please reduce the mapfile and dataset to the simplest form necessary to
demonstrate the issue, and attach to the bug report.
