Timeframe for Mapserver 4.8.2

Does anybody know where to find a timeframe for the release of 4.8.2?  I need the patch for
queryByAttributes, bug #1629 and was wondering how long before the release.  If it is going to be a
long time, I see there is a patch but I haven't found any information on how to apply the patch.  Does
anyone know where to find a how to or instructions for applying patches for bugs?
