ruby mapscript

Hi All,

I'm trying to build the Ruby mapscript libraries on RedHat 8.0, but am
getting the following error:

make: *** No rule to make target `ruby.h', needed by `mapscript_wrap.o'.

The steps I followed to get to this point are as follows:
./configure ... lots of options
make
cd mapscript/ruby
ruby extconf.rb
make  ... this is where the error occurs

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
