New to WMS, need some help

Hi i am trying to learn about WMS, so i read the documentation in the mapserver website, i was wondering like mapserver stores the jpeg file into a temp directory which we specify in the mapfile does WMS store the image i couldnt find the image stored in the temp directory ....
