inline features with python mapscript

OK, after some more self study, I have figured out how to do the
labeling of the point.  What I am still looking for is how to draw a
pointObj in image coordinates (transform=false in CGI world) using
Python MapScript.

Can anyone point me to an example of how to do a 'copyright notice'
using MapScript, preferrably Python MapScript?

Essentially, I want to place some title text on a map image using image
coords and set the text dynamically.
