freetype error for curved label

Hi,

Strange behaviour. I chech the config log, I find something like :
"configure: checking for GD 2.0.16 or higher...
checking for gdFontCacheSetup in -lgd... yes
        using libgd 2.0.16 (or higher) from system libs (-L/usr/lib -lgd 
-ljpeg -lfreetype -lpng -lz -L/usr/X11R6/lib/ -lXpm -lX11 )."

I try to add ---with-gd parameter and I got some error (don't find the libgd.a 
or libgd.so files while these files are there).  And when I suceed a 
fewmonthes ago to build mapserver4.10 beta I get this error and I suceed to 
resolve it.
