using attributes in the VAT table of a GRID instead of Value

Hello listers,

I want to map a grid not using its Value [pixel]

but using an attribute within the VAT table itself.

 

I tried using the same coding in the *.map file, but it doesn't work.

Any ideas why or any workaround?
