Blank page No Error Messages shown

I just installed Mapserver 5.0 on fedora Core 6 with PHP 5.2.4.  The
problem is whenever i have an error in my Mapfile a blank page is
displayed rather then the error message, so i have no way of telling
what  the problem is.  I have checked both my PHP and Apache Error
logs and no errors are showing there.  How can i turn on error
logging, or just display the error message directly using Mapserver
5.0?
