MapInfo layer "shifting"

I have a mapfile with some Oracle10Xe layers (no projection at all) and
everything works fine.
My problem is when I add 1 MapInfo layer that seems to be like "shifted"
(north and west).
I'd like to "move" it so that it exactly overlays the others
"oracle-based" layers.
Is it possibile? Do I have to define a projection for that MapInfo
layer?
