Small world isn't it? :)  Hope all is well on the other side of Canada.

I'm not sure of a solution, but your best bet for Chameleon issues is to 
use its own mailing list:

   - subscribe: http://lists.maptools.org/mailman/listinfo/chameleon
   - search: http://old.nabble.com/Chameleon-f16505.html

(the wind is blowing here on a rainy day on the Atlantic...good for 
getting work done though ha)
