[mapserver-users] allowing MapServer access to data on another windows machine?

Jukka is correct, it is an Apache problem. IIS is the same. The web server
is not allowed to access resources on the network. If your network is on a
domain then you can give the apache 'user' a domain account. It's a little
flaky but it does work. I haven't tried in a workgroup but it might be
possible to give the apache user account permissions on the other machine.
Alternatively, how about an external USB drive? Since it would be plugged
into your server it would be treated as a local resource.

Good luck,
Rich
