Hi,

All formats which you saw in your original GetCapabilities list are usable, as well as all the formats which you define yourself in the mapfile with OUTPUTFORMAT http://www.mapserver.org/mapfile/outputformat.html.

What you can define in OUTPUTFORMAT depends on how your Mapserver and GDAL that Mapserver is using are compiled. Because of GDAL you have quite nice possibilities http://www.gdal.org/formats_list.html

Indeed, if I remove the image/bmp format and the whitespaces from my list of parameters they are now appearing in the WMS GetCapabilities document.

Please can anyone point me to a list of allowed GetMap image formats for a MapServer WMS Service?
