[Marketing] OSGeo Live DVDs for Conferencia Internacional de Software Libre

Dear members of the marketing committee,

While attending FOSS4G-AR [1], I was asked, as OSGeo representative, to 
help the organizers of the upcoming FOSS4G event in Cuba, "Conferencia 
Internacional de Software Libre" [2], with some OSGeo Live DVDs. The 
DVDs will be used for the practical sessions and for OSGeo project 
promotion. Now, I'm not sure if the committee can approve such request 
or the board should decide on that. The cost of DVDs should be minor. 
However, as the time is really short, and it seems that is not wise to 
send a parcel with DVDs directly to Cuba due to long waiting time at the 
customs, a rapid courier service provider should be used. For that we 
have the contact address of an participant from Brazil. How should the 
Cuba organizers proceed on this? Is my request enough? Should the OSGeo 
board approve the request (just to be on the safe side, I have added the 
request on the Thursday board meeting agenda [3])?.

As a personal note, I was very impressed by our Latin America community 
enthusiasm and dedication and I strongly support this request.
