[Marketing] suggestion to add orcid link to osgeo.org member page

I don’t see any negatives in showing an ORCID.

The change I see is adding a new ORCID item to the ’social media icons’
dropdown on the user profile page, since a freeform ORCID address can
already be added.

Is that a hard change, or an easy change?

...relatedly but off-topic, does OSGeo.org <http://OSgeo.org> use a child
theme structure or custom theme such that bespoke changes survive wordpress
updates?

Cheers

Adam
