Hello MOSS community,
some updates for you all:
1) On Zenodo, a new MOSS community page was created, which is currently curated by Jeff, Māris and myself. The rationale is to offer a central place where people can discover "all things MOSS" which have been deposited in Zenodo: Code, publications and data (do we have that already?) The content is limited for now - it would be great if more MOSS related Zenodo deposits could be added over time: https://zenodo.org/communities/mossgis/records
2) I finally managed to enter some initial content to the MOSS page @OSGeo: https://www.osgeo.org/projects/moss/. Please update, enhance and edit whereever necessary. Advice how to resize the DOI badge (and put a working link behind it) would be much appreciated.
3) The metadata for the MOSS page @ OSGeo is asking for either an OSGeo "Officer" or "representative" - is anyone interested to volunteer ?
Here's a wild idea:
It should be technically feasible to provide the 1985 MSDOS binaries through a webbased MSDOS emulation (e.g. https://www.pcjs.org/software/pcx86/sys/dos/microsoft/6.22/).
Could that be useful for the open geospatial community ("the first FOSS GIS at your fingertips - online") ?
Best & have a great weekend,
Peter
