[Journal] Current interest level in OSGeo Journal?

Hi all,

The OSGeo Journal email list, the Journal itself, and associated websites have been dormant for years.  Are there people interested in this project and effort?

If there are people interested, then perhaps they can have more of a leadership role and re-invigorate the Journal.

If there are not people interested, then perhaps we can ask on the Discuss list as well as connecting with the GeoForAll effort and see if there is a more appropriate home for the Journal somewhere there or related academic realms.  I believe that there have been related successes in the past to publish OSGeo editions in other indexed journals.

If there is no interest anywhere, then perhaps we should update our pages noting that things are dormant or closed, close the email list, and otherwise responsibly wind down the effort.

Looking forward to hearing thoughts and suggestions.
