Brent,

I have been doing a good deal of GeoNetwork development and
implementation in Auckland. I have been very keen to get more people
using this tool and thus build up a community of local support. Could
you tell me more about what you are looking for? Perhaps I could help.

Hi,

I'm involved with a project which will require a geospatial metadata
system to be implemented & probably customised.

It will be in Wgtn, & we'd like a local person for face to face
discussions with users.

We are leaning very strongly towards using GeoNetwork as the core
application.

http://geonetwork-opensource.org/

If anyone has advice/experience to offer regarding this application, or
any suggested alternative feel free to let me know.

It is likely we will be able to fund a few days work for someone to
assist us with this implementation (probably on a Suse Linux platform),
so if anyone is interested in such a role, let me know.... (no
promises!)

Cheers,

   Brent Wood

Hi Brent,
I'm digging around for a phone number for you, but can't seem to find
one.

I'm wondering whether we can help you out from Australia, possibly
sending one of our Geonetwork experts to set things up, then supporting
you remotely from Australia.

Of note, we have a number of Australian agencies wanting to improve
Geonetwork here in Australia, and we are expecting to extend our
existing work improving the Geonetwork User Interface early in the next
financial year.
