Ben,
I'm hopeful that we can have a significant Open Source and Open
Standards presence at Spatial at Gov this year (2010) as well as 2011.
In particular, LISAsoft presented a number of 4 hour workshops at FOSS4G
which were very popular and which we could re-present at Spatial at Gov.
We also have a couple of key presentations we are preparing for FOSS4G
2011 (like the LiveDVD overview) which we expect will be very popular
for the Spatial at Gov delegates.

This would take away the OS community need to work on the infrastructure component of a conference, such as venue, PCO issues, costs, budgets delegate fees and managing all this. OS could concentrate on getting a good theme populated with good presenters.
