Firstly, thanks to the old Committee members, & congratulations to the new
members!

I'd like to back-up what Violaine said here, by saying that just all
discussions should be open? I can see that there would be some commercial
matters regarding sponsorship & possibly venue hire etc that may need to be
secret, & possibly also (but hopefully not) personal matters if a member
ever needed to be disciplined, but beyond those I can't really see any
reason for secrecy?

& as for how to talk? I'm another one that likes mailing lists via e-mail!
Having multiple communications channels has always been a bit of an issue
for OSM, in that if you don't belong to eg "this forum", you miss out on
things being discussed. I'd really like us to avoid that, if at all
possible!
