[OpenLayers-Dev] continuous zoom

Dear OpenLayers devs,
I've started planning merging OpenLayers into ka-Map and I've found a 
sponsor for it.
the same sponsor wants a continuous zoom for ka-Map as this one:
http://map.myswitzerland.com/myswitzerland/?lang=en

it's really cool
play with mouse scroll or the zoom bar.

I need help to develop the zoom part. I have few time and don't want to 
risk not to finish it.
I feel comfortable integrating OL in ka-Map but not
with the zoom.

who wants to help?
