[OpenLayers-Dev] Problem paning, zooming and using any editing toolbar in a map

What are the controls you are adding to the map at the moment ? (if you 
are not using the exact same page: spherical-mercator.html)
Did you try to add the default mouse control ?  
(OpenLayers.Control.MouseDefaults)
