[OpenLayers-Dev] How to display shapefile?

[Kwong Hu Kiu]

Which is the recommended format to convert shapefile to ?

I assume i can load the *.shp into ogr2ogr and it should generate a *.kml file for me if i choose KML format.
Is that right ?
