Robert, thanks for offering this service. Unless someone else has a
burning desire to do so, I'm willing to serve as the project liaison.

My rough plan will be to set up the Translatewiki folks with an
OpenLayers sandbox, and then merge from their sandbox to trunk every
couple of weeks, beginning *after* the 2.8 release.

If anyone from the OpenLayers community has any questions, or
particularly wants to take on this role, please feel free to contact me.
