[OpenLayers-Dev] 2.9a release?

Hey Chris,

so you are proposing to just pull up this change (and any other regression that might come up in the near future) to the 2.9 branch, and then release as 2.9 again? So just update the builds on openlayers.org and update the download files for 2.9?
