I personally see the EditingToolbar more as an example of how to
assemble tools in a panel. So I wouldn't see much value in changing it
as you're suggesting it, taking into account that that would break
existing applications' UIs. But I agree we could work on our examples
and show how to build custom editing toolbars (as done in the
mobile-drawing example), so patches are very welcome here.

This is just my viewpoint, and I'm happy to have opinions from others.
