 Thanks for the test. I thought that the problem reported in this ticket
 was that read() may add params into the protocol's global options object
 (in this.options.params), and that a call to read() may therefore affect
 subsequent calls. That's not what your unit test shows. I'll try to modify
 your unit test to watch this.options.params instead of opt2, if you agree
 with that.
