 @imanfafa: what you're describing makes sense, because dragging the map
 far away from the original view (i.e. the one when the zoom last changed)
 may exceed the coordinate range again. I don't see an obvious way to fix
 this without reintroducing a bunch of workarounds we have in the SVG
 renderer. But if you have one, patches are welcome.
