 Review comments:

  * I'd rather have {{{allowDepress}}} default to false, to maintain the
 current behavior.
  * In the new doc text {{{TYPE_TOGGLE}}} should be {{{TYPE_TOOL}}}.
  * I'd prefer a separate test function for {{{allowDepress}}} (I always
 prefer separate test functions)
