Hi Roald,
I will create a ticket and provide my patch with it.
A test case will be difficult I guess since I don't know an easy way to
measure the memory usage
I will save some time today to create the ticket and provide a clean
patch for this issue

If forcing a refresh causes memory leaks in IE, then your patch would
most certainly be welcome! Can you please create a ticket for this (with
a test case if possible) and attach your patch?
