That's not a solution. A solution would be to:

 * File a bug report
 * Attach a patch
 * motivate a developer to care ($$ sometimes helps with this)

Of course, the third step is irrelevant to solving problems; once you
have a patch, you can apply it to your code without OL devs being
involved.
