[OpenLayers-Users] Canvas layer

Hi there! I have a canvas that I render on the client side. I would like to
overlay it on top of the map. I tried to use the Image Layer, but it seems
that it requires the image to be ready before creating it. My map is
configured before the canvas, so I can't instantiate the image to pass to it
using canvas.toImageURL().

Is there a correct way of achieving what I want?
