I use the Bing Satellite imagery as a base layer. When I add overlays in epsg
4326 they appear in the right place, however when I zoom in and out the
points can become a little messed up. They usually resolve themselves after
a few seconds. So I feel your pain.

That being said, the projection of your map is in 900913, correct? Geoserver
should then be able to reproject your points to the correct projection when
requested with the 900913.
