[OpenLayers-Users] Maximum Number of web features to download

Hi!
I'm interesting in this issue too. How can I count the points number from
a layer? I tried something with PostGIS and the NumPoints() function but
the resulted field was empty. Is there an other way to achieve this,
trough GeoServer for example?
