[OpenLayers-Users] how to set z index of polygons and markers

Hi,

I have hundreds of polygons (feautres), each associated with a marker object of OpenLayer.Marker. I want to set the z index for all of them. Anyone knows how to do this via OpenLayers api? Or, how to do this via javascript?

Your ideas are very much appreciated.
