[OpenLayers-Users] Why WFS Layer Displayed very slowely over Google Map

Right,

If it's only a click, using a WMS GetFeatureInfo request would be enough 
though. You could always put a marker at the clicked location if you 
wanted to keep track of where the user clicked. If you want to do a 
"box" query, go with the WFS GetFeature control instead.
