Hallo,

resolution is width (or height) in map units / width (or heigth) in pixel.

With a resolution of 1.40625(dd/px) for EPSG:4326 you can display the whole
world (360d x 180d) with an imageSize of 512px x 256px.

The resolution and zoom levels you choose, depends on what you want to
achieve and the quality of your data.

To show some part of Germany (NRW) in EPSG:31466 with a map size of 1000px x
600px at zoomlevel 0, i choose a maxResolution of 500(m/px).
And at zoomLevel 11 you have a resolution of 0.24(m/px).

Arnd

Hi Arnd,
thanks for answering.

No it doesn't. The WMS is not shown any more. WFS is okay. How do I find out
about the resolution and the zoom levels? Where did you get the values from,
that you suggested to me?

Gabriele
