[OpenLayers-Users] Session timed out problem

this belongs on the geoserver list not here. However, on the admin for 
geoserver, look at the geoserver log. You do indeed get that error when 
out of Permgen space. If you see OutOfMemory in the geoserver log, I 
would try doubling the permgen size. 256 looks tiny to me.
