[osgeo4w-dev] arcSDE - What do I need to fetch from the arcinfo CDs and where does it go?

The only help I can find for using SDE with OGR2OGR says you need to 
install the plugin for 9.2 (done) and get the sde client libraries. 
Okay, I have arc CDs. What exactly do I need from the arc CDs and where 
do I copy them to? Its far from clear to me what arcSDE client libraries 
are.
