Dear Imaki-san,

Perhaps, one way of getting support for this very interesting work
could be to find suitable fellowship for a clever
grad student. Japanese government provides several
grad scholarships thru the Japanese Embassy and we
at Osaka City University would be willing to support
grad student who maybe interested/capable of working
on this problem.

Prospective grad students from Canada can take a look
at take a look at
http://www.ca.emb-japan.go.jp/canada_e/CultureEducation/MEXT/index.html

Guess the same info should be available at the Japan Embassy to the USA
too.

We presently have several students working on Open Source solutions
at our grad school details available in Japanese at the URL below
http://www.kii.gscc.osaka-cu.ac.jp/

Off course, our grad schools also welcomes Japanese students and
perhaps folks on the osgeojapan-discuss would be interested in
working on this and other FOSS4G oriented problems.

Kind regards

Venka
