Yoichi,

I can't  help you  for geoeference images.

May be is useful the use these plugins (contribute site):
1) Show or hide image: You use the grid image (by click inside scene)
for show or hide the image
2) Image Boundary: Create Grid(polygon) from georeference imagens from
the diretory.
