Furahashi-san is the force behind the FOSS4G-Japan events and
the main organizer of FOSS4G-Tokyo event. He is also very
active in the OSM community and took the lead in organizing
SotM-Tokyo in 2012. He uses, develops and promotes OSGeo
Source and Open Data in several of his projects both
nationally and internationally. His recent work related to
the March 11 2011 earthquake in Japan is also widely
appreciated.
