[OSGeoJapan-discuss] About ICA-Geo4All Labs in Japan

Dear All,

Regarding setting ICA-OSGeo Lab in Japan. We currently have
two labs at CSIS and OCU which are "still in the process of being
established".

Nishimura-san has recently expressed interest in setting up lab at his
university.

The criteria is join [1] is quite simple. It is also suggested to set-up a
website to provide info about lab activities. To reduce the burden of
website maintained, maybe a wiki page for each lab can be set-up
using the OSGeo.JP wiki [2]. Each lab wiki page can show members,
links to lectures and courses, projects and events.

There is a monthly newsletter being published [3] and if you have any
items for the news letter please send to Nikos Lambrinos
labrinos at eled.auth.gr

It would be great if we could increase the number of labs in Japan
and also discuss about ways for inter-lab collaborations. If anyone
is interested in joining the ICA-OSGeo Labs initiative, please let us
know.

The setting up of chapters for Asia-Australia region is currently managed
by Dr. Tuong Thuy Vu and myself.
