Reading over you comment at http://trac.osgeo.org/osgeo/ticket/296 I was 
unsure what you would suggest we set up.

With your prior experience with packaging, I suspect you will be best 
qualified to tell us exactly what we should be setting up on OSGeo.
Do we just need a directory in the osgeo download.osgeo.org, or do we 
need more?
