Hello, list.

I'd like to have 'Unofficial gvSIG Mobile for Linux' included in the OSGeo live DVD (as in the previous version). Time permitting, I'll make some minor changes and upgrade it to version 0.1.7.

I have seen in the projects profile spreadsheet a beta project (maptiler) that is listed among the non-beta projects in the NAV_APPS category (in install_desktop.sh):

...
DESKTOP_APPS="grass qgis gvsig openjump uDig ossimplanet Kosmo_2.0_RC1 spatialite-gis zygrib"
NAV_APPS="MapFish marble gpsdrive opencpn mapnik-* maptiler josm gosmore merkaartor viking"
SERVER_APPS="deegree-* geoserver-* *geonetwork* geomajas-* mapserver"
SPATIAL_TOOLS="imagelinker r spatialite-gui geokettle"
DB_APPS=""  # pgadmin, sqlitebrowser, etc
RELIEF_APPS="sahana ushahidi"
...

On the other hand, considering JOSM a navigation application suggests that classification is not very strict, so 'Unofficial gvSIG Mobile for Linux' would fit that category too.

Can I add 'Unofficial gvSIG Mobile for Linux' to the NAV_APPS list?
Or maybe we can add a new BETA_APPS category?

Great, thanks Juan,

Could you please let the live-demo at lists.osgeo.org list know your
plans, so that others on the list are aware what you are doing.

        Hello, Cameron. Thanks for your message. Yes I'd like to
have 'Unofficial gvSIG Mobile for Linux' in the upcoming OSGeo live
DVD. I have just updated application profile in your spread sheet. I
might make minimal changes and rename to 0.1.7.

Juan,

We have a feature freeze for the OSGeo LiveDVD in just over a week.

Do you want to see your mobile app on the DVD again? Do you wish to

update the version?

If so, could you please update your install script.

Also, which version of java do you use, we don't seem to have it

recorded here:
